Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 1/2 to 4 pounds chicken wings (tips removed and wings sectioned)
  • Water
  • 1/2 cup Italian salad dressing (not the creamy kind)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 ounce gin (a jigger)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a pan large enough to hold the wings, add wings and fill it with water. Add wings and bring to a boil, parboil for approximately 10 minutes.

  • Step 2: Remove wings from the pan, discarding water, and let cool.

  • Step 3: In a small bowl, mix the Italian dressing, soy sauce, and gin.

  • Step 4: Add the wings to a ziplock plastic bag large enough to hold them. Add the marinade ingredients. Massage the bag to distribute marinade throughout.

  • Step 5: Place bag in the refrigerator (this is to prevent any leakage). Marinate overnight.

  • Step 6: Cook the wings on the preheated grill, turning occasionally, until the chicken is well browned and no longer pink and skin is crisp and blistered, approximately 25 to 30 minutes (the length of time all depends on each particular level of grill/heat). Keep a watchful eye so as not to have the wings burn.

  • NOTE: My friend cooks these over a charcoal grill which adds smokiness, but a gas grill is fine too.
