  • 1 pound Italian sausage links (5 sweet Italian sausage links, sliced 1/2-inch thick)
  • 1 pineapple, whole (peeled, cored and cut into 1-inch chunks)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat grill to medium.

  • Step 2: Thread sausage slices and pineapple chunks on skewers, alternating meat and fruit. Reserve leftover pineapple for another use.

  • Step 3: Brush skewers generously with barbecue sauce.

  • Step 4: Grill over indirect medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until sausage is cooked through and the internal temperature, using a food thermometer, is 165° F, before removing from the grill.

  • Step 5: Serve skewers over rice or with mixed green salad.
