Step 1: Preheat grill to medium.
Step 2: Thread sausage slices and pineapple chunks on skewers, alternating meat and fruit. Reserve leftover pineapple for another use.
Step 3: Brush skewers generously with barbecue sauce.
Step 4: Grill over indirect medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until sausage is cooked through and the internal temperature, using a food thermometer, is 165° F, before removing from the grill.
Step 5: Serve skewers over rice or with mixed green salad.
