Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°
Step 2: Line a 9×13 pan with foil and spray lightly with nonstick spray.
Step 3: Beat butter and sugar together until combined, 1-2 minutes.
Step 4: Beat in egg
Step 5: Mix in flour and salt
Step 6: Press into prepared pan.
Step 7: Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
Step 8: Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
Step 9: In a small saucepan heat sweetened condensed milk and butter together until bubbly. Cook and stir additional 5 minutes
Step 10: Add in vanilla
Step 11: Pour over shortbread crust.
Step 12: Bake 12-15 minutes until filling is bubbly and browned.
Step 13: Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips and place back in the oven for another 1-2 minutes
Step 14: Carefully spread the chips over the filling with an off-set spatula
Step 15: Sprinkle with Toffee bits
Step 16: Let cool completely, then cut into squares
