Step 1: In a medium bowl stir together first 6 ingredients, set aside.
Step 2: In a large bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds.
Step 3: Add molasses and brown sugar. Beat until combined.
Step 4: Beat in flour mixture just until combined.
Step 5: Divide dough in half; cover and chill for 1 hour or until easy to handle.
Step 6: Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 7: On a lightly floured surface roll half of the dough at a time to 1/16-inch thickness.
Step 8: Using a 2-inch round scalloped cutter, cut out dough.
Step 9: Place cutouts 1-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 10: Bake in preheated oven for 5 to 6 minutes or until edges are browned.
Step 11: Transfer cookies to wire racks; cool.
