  • 12 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 chipotle peppers (in adobo, finely minced)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat butter in a large skillet, over medium heat.

  • Step 2: Add the onion, jalapeños, garlic, cumin, and a pinch of salt. Cook about 5-10 minutes.

  • Step 3: Add the cream cheese and milk.

  • Step 4: Cook over medium heat until the sauce is smooth and the cream cheese has melted.

  • Step 5: In a bowl, toss together the shredded cheese with the flour. Gradually add the cheese to the warm milk, whisking until the sauce is smooth.

  • Step 6: Stir in the chipotle peppers.

  • Step 7: Serve warm
