Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound green beans, fresh and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 2 cups cauliflower, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable or peanut oil
  • 1 medium onion, cut into thin wedges
  • 2 medium tomatoes, cut into thin wedges

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook beans in boiling, salted water for 3 minutes

  • Step 2: Add cauliflower and cook 2 minutes

  • Step 3: Drain beans and cauliflower well

  • Step 4: In a small bowl, mix water, soy sauce, sherry, sugar, pepper and cornstarch.

  • Step 5: Heat 2 tablespoons oil in wok over high heat until sizzling

  • Step 6: Stir-fry onion 1 minute

  • Step 7: Add beans and cauliflower and stir-fry 2 minutes, or just until tender crisp

  • Step 8: Push vegetables to the side of the wok and add soy sauce mixture, cook stirring constantly until sauce thickens and bubbles, then stir in vegetables

  • Step 9: Add Tomatoes and heat thoroughly
