Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 red onion (small red onion, makes 4 slices 1/4" thick and 1/3 cup chopped onions)
  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (fresh)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 3 mushrooms (medium fresh mushrooms, cleaned & sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons salad dressing (aged balsamic vinaigrette dressing)
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 4 (6 ounces) bread buns (or bagels of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 8 tablespoons mayonnaise

How to Make

  • Step 1: Peel the onion

  • Step 2: Cut the onion in half crosswise,

  • Step 3: Cut 4, slices 1/4" from one half of the onion and chop 1/3 cup from the other half

  • Step 4: Gently miix the beef, egg, parsley, garlic & 2 tbsp dijon mustard

  • Step 5: Form the meat mixture into 4 patties, 1/2" thick

  • Step 6: Fry the patties, onion rings & mushrooms over medium heat with the balsamic dressing

  • Step 7: After 6 minutes remove the mushrooms & onion slices

  • Step 8: Flip the burgers & continue frying for apprx 5 minutes or until done

  • Step 9: Top the burgers with the onion slices, mushroom and cheese

  • Step 10: Broil for a couple of minutes or until the cheese starts to melt

  • Step 11: Mix 1 tbsp dijon with the mayo

  • Step 12: Spread each side of the buns(bagel) with the mixture

  • Step 13: Place aburger on each bottom half of the bun, top with an onion slice and mushroooms

  • Step 14: Tp with other half of the bun

  • Step 15: Enjoy
