  • 1/4 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili peppers
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch (to thicken gravy)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F

  • Step 2: Lightly brown pork chops in a small amount of olive oil.

  • Step 3: Place chops in a flat baking dish.

  • Step 4: Combine all other ingredients over low heat and pour over chops.

  • Step 5: Cover and bake 45 minutes basting occasionally.

  • Step 6: Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.

  • Step 7: Place chops on warming platter while sauce is thickened very slightly with flour.

  • Step 8: Pour sauce over chops and serve.
