Step 1: In a saucepan over medium high heat combine first 8 ingredients (-ginger) and bring to a boil and then simmer for 20-25 minutes or until reduced by half and thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Remove from heat and discard garlic.
Step 2: Soak 6-8 wooden skews and then preheat grill or grill pan.
Step 3: In a bowl soak the brussels sprouts in water for 5 minutes; drain and toss with the oil and salt.
Step 4: Arrange the brussels sprouts on skewers with cut sides facing the same direction. Place cut side down on grill and cook for a few minutes (3-5) on grill on 5-8 in a grill pan, biting with sauce after a minute or so; turn and grill the other side for about 2 minutes or until cooked through.
Step 5: Transfer sprouts to a platter and brush with sauce; sprinkle with the furikake and cilantro.
