The ingredients are:
  • 1 cantaloupe
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons dark rum
  • Fresh mint sprig

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut cantaloupe in half, remove seeds, peel and dice coarsely.

  • Step 2: Place in a food processor or blender in batches with honey, water and rum.

  • Step 3: Blend until smooth.

  • Step 4: Pour into a 9 x 9 inch baking pan and freeze until almost firm.

  • Step 5: Break up into small chunks and return to food processor or blender.

  • Step 6: Freeze until almost firm and blend again.

  • Step 7: Freeze again.

  • Step 8: To serve use an ice cream scoop and place 1 to 2 scoops of granite in individual serving dishes.

  • Step 9: Garnish each serving with a sprig of fresh mint.
