  • 2 1/2 pounds oranges (8 small)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 1/2 cups wine (Sherry)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Peel oranges, carefully removing white pith and place in bowl

  • Step 2: In a heavy saucepan combine water and sugar and bring to a boil. stirring to dissolve sugar

  • Step 3: Boil gently, uncovered, for about 5 minutes

  • Step 4: Add cranberries to saucepan and cook just until soft, but not broken, about 5 min

  • Step 5: Stir in Sherry and pour over oranges

  • Step 6: Let chill 24 hours, or up to 1 week
