Step 1: Peel oranges, carefully removing white pith and place in bowl
Step 2: In a heavy saucepan combine water and sugar and bring to a boil. stirring to dissolve sugar
Step 3: Boil gently, uncovered, for about 5 minutes
Step 4: Add cranberries to saucepan and cook just until soft, but not broken, about 5 min
Step 5: Stir in Sherry and pour over oranges
Step 6: Let chill 24 hours, or up to 1 week
