Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup Italian-style salad dressing (Zesty is perfect for this)
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 3 pounds chicken wings (cut apart at joints, wing tips discarded)
  • FOR BUFFALO SAUCE:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's Hot Sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup brown sugar (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine soy sauce, Italian dressing, hot sauce, garlic powder, and chicken wings in a large, zip-top bag. Close bag and refrigerate 4 hours to overnight.

  • Step 2: In a small saucepan, melt the butter and all sauce ingredients until hot, stirring making sure sugar is dissolved. Turn off heat and reserve.

  • Step 3: Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat.

  • Step 4: Remove the chicken wings from the marinade shake off marinade. Cook the wings on the preheated grill, turning occasionally, until the chicken is well browned and no longer pink and skin is crisp and blistered, approximately 25 to 30 minutes (the length of time all depends on each particular level of grill/heat). Keep a watchful eye so as not to have the wings burn.

  • Step 5: Place grilled wings in a large bowl. Pour buffalo sauce over wings; toss to mix well. (We sometimes serve the sauce on the side along with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks - this helps the wings retain it's blistery crispness).

  • Step 6: Serve hot and enjoy.
