The ingredients are:
  • 12 whole (144 grams) mushrooms, brown are preferred
  • 4 teaspoons butter
  • 1/8 cup port wine
  • 2 ounces prosciutto ham (about 4-6 slices)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wipe mushrooms with a damp cloth, then cut in half.

  • Step 2: Melt butter in a frying pan.

  • Step 3: Add mushrooms and a pinch of salt.

  • Step 4: Cook, stirring, over medium heat for 1 minute.

  • Step 5: Add port and cook, stirring, until it evaporates completely.

  • Step 6: Remove from heat and set aside.

  • Step 7: Cut 18 slices of prosciutto into 4 pieces each.

  • Step 8: Thread 4 pieces of mushroom and 3 rolled pieces of prosciutto alternately onto wooden skewers, and serve.
