Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 450 grams pork loin medallions (4 medallions)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 teaspoons Chines five-spice
  • 6 cups chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, sliced
  • 400 grams udon noodles (2x200g packets shelf-fresh udon noodles specified)
  • 1 bunch Chinese broccoli, chopped
  • Red chilli, finely chopped, to garnish

How to Make

  • Step 1: Toss pork in oil and spice and cook in a heated frying pan for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until tender and then loosely cover with foil and rest for 3 to 4 minutes and then thinly slice.

  • Step 2: Bring stock and ginger to boil in a saucepan and add noodles and broccoli and simmer for 3 minutes, or until tender.

  • Step 3: Serve noodle mixture in bowls topped with pork and garnish with chilli.
