  • 2 pounds potatoes (new potatoes, very small and unpeeled)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (Tabasco sauce)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water until tender, 20-25 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  • Step 2: In a large saucepan, heat the butter and oil. Add the potatoes and saute for 8-10 minutes. Add the garlic, salt, pepper, lemon juice and Tabasco sauce, lower the heat and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the garlic turns a golden color; be careful not to burn the garlic.
