Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 fillet (12 ounces) trout fish (rainbow trout)
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 5 to 6 drops liquid smoke (or more if you like real smoky)
  • Brown sugar, dash
  • Chili powder, dash
  • Garlic powder, dash
  • Sea salt, dash
  • Fresh ground pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and drizzle with a bit of olive oil.

  • Step 2: Place the trout, skin side down, on parchment paper and season with pepper.

  • Step 3: Mix together the remaining ingredients and rub over top of trout with the back of a spoon using all of the mayonnaise mixture.

  • Step 4: Bake in a preheated 350 degree fahrenheit oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until fish flakes easily when poked with a fork. This will vary depending on your oven.
