Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound stewing beef (beef stew meat )
  • 1 cup onion, grated
  • 4 cups tomato juice
  • 2 cups tomato puree
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package (12 ounce) dry orzo pasta
  • 1 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute meat in olive oil in dutch oven

  • Step 2: Add onions

  • Step 3: Add tomato juice ,water and puree

  • Step 4: Add spices

  • Step 5: Cook for 2 hours until meat is tender,what ever kind you are using

  • Step 6: The juice should be reduced by about half

  • Step 7: Add the pasta to dutch oven and put in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes you may need to add more water stirring occasionally it needs to be saucy everything was in metric and I'm guessing

  • Step 8: Add lemon juice

  • Step 9: Take out cloves and cinnamon stick
