Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a 2 inch overhang on two of the sides and coat paper with cooking spray.
Step 2: In a bowl combine the dry ingredients (oats - salt) and then stir in the butter. Press 2 cups of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until set and then transfer to a wire rack.
Step 3: In a bowl combine the rest of the ingredients (strawberries -cornstarch) - spread mixture over the crust and then sprinkle the reserved oat mixture over the top.
Step 4: Bake for 35 minutes or until topping is golden and filling is bubbling. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes and then lift the bars out of the pan to finish cooling on a wire rack (holding onto the overhang of the paper helps). Let cool for 1 hour before cutting into 12 bars.
