Step 1: To make the filling, place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until just combined.
Step 2: Place on pastry sheet on a clean bendch and brush with butter and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon pecans and then repeat layering with filo, butter and pecans.
Step 3: Spoon filling lengthways dwn the centre of the pastry, to form a log shape (leaving a 10cm border on the long sides and 7cm on the short sides) and then fold over short sides, then starting on one long side, roll up to enclose filling.
Step 4: Place seam-side down on a large, greased oven tray and brush with remaining but and sprinkle with remaining nuts and then cook in a hot oven (200C) for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
Step 5: Stand for 10 minutes and serve warm or cold, lightly dusted with icing sugar and cream on the side.
