Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 630 grams ravioli (frozen spinach and ricotta ravioli specified or your choice of ravioli)
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400 gram tomatoes, canned and chopped
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream (pure cream)
  • 60 grams spinach ( baby spinach leaves, 1 small bag fresh)
  • 1 1/3 cups croutons
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook ravioli according to packet directions and then drain.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, heat oil in a large, non-stick frying pan over a medium to high heat and add onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 3 minutes, or until soft.

  • Step 3: Stir in tomatoes with 1/2 cup water and bring to boil and simmer for about 3 minutes, or until slightly thickened and then stir in cream, then ravioli and remove from heat and stir in spinach.

  • Step 4: Spoon mixture into an ovenproof dish (8-cup capacity) and top with croutons and sprinkle over cheese.

  • Step 5: Cook in a hot oven (200°c) for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden.

  • Step 6: Serve and enjoy.
