Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup mashed sweet potato
  • 1/4 cup sorghum (spray measuring cup with Pam)
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick, very cold, cut in 8 tablespoons)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pre heat oven to 450 degrees

  • Step 2: Mix the dry ingredients together with a whisk

  • Step 3: Mix the sweet potato milk and sorghum together in a pam sprayed bowl

  • Step 4: Cut in the butter to the flour until crumbly

  • Step 5: Add wet ingredients

  • Step 6: Mix lightly

  • Step 7: Spray cookie sheet with pam

  • Step 8: Roll out dough on to floured board

  • Step 9: Cut with round biscuit cutter

  • Step 10: Bake 12 to 15 minutes until done
