Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup golden raisin (soaked 5 minutes in hot water, then drained well)
  • Frosting:
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cream (I use plain 2% milk)
  • 1 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Zezt of one lemon (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375f degrees

  • Step 2: Bring water, butter, sugar and salt to a boil

  • Step 3: Add flour and beat until mixture leaves the sides of the pan

  • Step 4: Remove from heat and beat 3 minutes to cool

  • Step 5: Add eggs one at a time, beating until smooth and satiny after each addition

  • Step 6: Add raisins and mix well

  • Step 7: Drop by measureing tablespoonfull onto greased cookie sheet

  • Step 8: Bake 30 to 35 minutes

  • Step 9: Frosting:

  • Step 10: Combine frosting ingredients in order given, (add lemon zest if using),drizzle over buns while the buns are still warm.
