Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (packaged dried)
  • 250 grams frozen spinach ( thawed and chopped)
  • 150 grams ham leg (sliced and chopped)
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup flour (plain)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 50 grams butter, melted
  • Garden salad, to serve

How to Make

  • Step 1: Grease and line an 18cm x 28cm rectangular slice pan with baking paper, extending the paper 3cm above pan edges.

  • Step 2: Sprinkle 2 tablespoons f the breadcrumbs over the base.

  • Step 3: Squeeze excess moisture from the spinach and place spinach in a big bowl and add the ham, cheese, flour and remaining breadcrumbs and season and mix well to combine.

  • Step 4: Whisk eggs, milk, mustard and butter in a jug until combined and then add to spinach mixture and stir to combine and then pour into prepared pan.

  • Step 5: Cook in a moderate oven (180C) for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown and set.

  • Step 6: Remove from oven and cool in the pan for 5 minutes and then serve a garden salad.
