Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 (24 ounces) salmon fillets (6 ounce each)
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeds and ribs removed, diced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 6 tablespoon olive oil (divided)
  • 2 limes, juiced (about 1/4 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Rinse salmon; pat dry. Place in a large zip-close bag.

  • Step 2: Mix green onions, garlic, jalapeno, sugar, thyme, spices, salt, soy sauce, 4 tablespoons olive oil and lime juice.

  • Step 3: Pour over salmon and seal bag; turn bag over to evenly coat salmon. Marinate 2-4 hours.

  • Step 4: Preheat oven to 400°F. Heat remaining oil over high heat in an ovenproof skillet.

  • Step 5: Sear salmon on one side about 1 minute.

  • Step 6: Flip and cook until pale pink, about 1 more minute.

  • Step 7: Transfer skillet to oven; bake 6-8 minutes, until salmon flakes easily (145°F internal temperature).

  • Step 8: Allow salmon to rest 3 to 5 minutes.
