Ingredients

  • 1 cup molasses (spray pam into measuring cup first)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons dried ginger root
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sift dry ingredients

  • Step 2: Cream sugar with shortening

  • Step 3: Add eggs

  • Step 4: Add molasses

  • Step 5: Add dry ingredients

  • Step 6: You may need to add a little more flour to make a stiff dough,as this was very old cook book

  • Step 7: Roll into marble sized balls

  • Step 8: Place on greased cookie sheet

  • Step 9: It says bake in moderate oven which is 350 degrees and no time given so I'm guessing 10 minutes watch cause these babies are going to burn easily
