Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 to 8 corn tortillas, cut into eighths
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Dash garlic powder
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup sliced green olives (optional)
  • 1 cup grated colby cheddar cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sauce: Heat oil and brown flour. Add chili powder to water and dissolve, then add to browned flour and mix well. Add seasonings and blend. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.

  • Step 2: In skillet, saute onions in a bit of oil. Add tortilla pieces and saute until softened.

  • Step 3: Add green olives and mix. Then add chili sauce, stirring thoroughly. Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat.

  • Step 4: Add cheese, stir and leave covered over low heat. Serve when cheese is melted.
