Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 ounces sliced bacon (6 slices)
  • 3/4 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 can (15 ounce) tomatoes, whole (peeled tomatoes, with liquid)
  • 2 cups green beans (cut beans, or one 15 ounce can cut green beans)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook bacon until crisp, remove from skillet and reserve drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside.

  • Step 2: In skillet, add onione and green pepper to 3 tablespoons drippings. Cook until tender.

  • Step 3: Blend in flour, brown sugar, worcestershire and seasonings.

  • Step 4: Add tomatoes and cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.

  • Step 5: Add beans and heat thoroughly. Place in serving bowl and top with crumbled bacon.
