  • 1 pounds carrots, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup amaretto

How to Make

  • Step 1: Parboil carrots until al dente, about 10 minutes.

  • Step 2: Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking. This can be done a couple of hour ahead of time.

  • Step 3: Heat butter over medium heat until melted. Add carrots and sugar; heat to carmelize sugar.

  • Step 4: Add Amaretto and cook to reduce sauce to a glaze.

  • Step 5: Add salt and pepper to taste.
