Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cup light cream
  • 195 grams dry instant rice (dry, 1 1/3 cups Minute Rice )
  • 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups asparagus, chopped (cooked)
  • 250 grams cooked turkey meat (cubed, 2 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds (toasted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In skillet heat butter add flour and seasonings

  • Step 2: Toast lightly

  • Step 3: Add cream, then thicken

  • Step 4: In casserole, add rice to bottom of a 3 quart casserole

  • Step 5: Add broth

  • Step 6: Sprinkle half cheese over top of rice

  • Step 7: Put on asparagus and Turkey

  • Step 8: Pour over sauce

  • Step 9: Top with cheese

  • Step 10: Bake at 375 for 30 minutes

  • Step 11: Top with almonds last 5 minutes
