Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 (600 grams) salmon fillets (4 x 150 grams skinless and boneless fillets)
  • 490 gram béchamel sauce (jar)
  • 1/4 cup chives, fresh and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese,
  • 1/3 cup panko
  • Green beans, steamed to serve

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat an oiled, large non-stick frying pan over a high heat and add salmon and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

  • Step 2: Place salmon in a single layer in an oiled, ovenproof dish (10 cup capacity).

  • Step 3: Combine becahamel sauce, chives, mustard and half the cheese in a bowl mix well to combine and then pour over the salmon.

  • Step 4: Sprinkle with combined breadcrumbs and remaining cheese and cook, uncovered in a hot oven (200c) for about 20 minutes, or until salmon is cooked and top is golden brown.

  • Step 5: Serve with a green beans.
