Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds sweet potatoes (peeled and cut into 2 inch chunks)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (divided)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

How to Make

  • Step 1: Toss the sweet potatoes with the butter, half the brown sugar, Kosher salt, orange juice and vanilla extract in the slow cooker.

  • Step 2: Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

  • Step 3: Either mash the potatoes or using an immersion blender to smooth the potatoes out.

  • Step 4: Top with the rest of the brown sugar and pecans and serve.
