Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 375 grams dry macaroni pasta
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated (divided)
  • 1 cup peas, frozen
  • 370 grams tuna (2 x 185 gr tins tuna in spring water, drained)
  • 600 grams condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 150 grams mushrooms (fresh or tinned sliced mushrooms)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
  • 1 to 2 cups crushed potato chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 220 dg c.

  • Step 2: Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil & cook the macaroni according to manufacturer's instructions or until al dente and drain pasta when cooked.

  • Step 3: Using a large bowl, thoroughly combine the macaroni, onion, 1 cup of the cheese, peas, tuna, soup mushrooms and and caraway seeds.

  • Step 4: In a separate bowl combine the leftover 1 cup of cheese and potato chips and mix thoroughly.

  • Step 5: Transfer the tuna mix to a casserole dish (approx 20x30cm) then top the tuna mix with the crushed potato chip crumbs and cheese mix.

  • Step 6: Bake casserole for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
