Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound green string beans (ends trimmed and cut in half)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries (you can add it bit more if you like)
  • 1/4 cup walnuts (toasted and chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Walnuts ... Add the walnuts to a dry saute pan and bring to medium high heat. Cook just a couple of minutes until you can smell the nuts. Toasting just bring out their natural oils and, they taste better. Once they cool, lightly chop.

  • Step 2: Beans ... Add the beans to a large saute pan and fill with 1" or so of water, just so the beans are almost covered. I prefer to use a pan vs a pot - the beans cook quicker and more even. Simmer on medium heat until the beans are tender.

  • Step 3: Finish ... Drain the beans and stir in the orange juice, butter, cranberries, and walnuts. Toss lightly.

  • Step 4: Serve ... Simply ENJOY!
