  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg, set aside
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened (salted)
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 127 grams eggnog (1/2 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large egg yolks

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg.

  • Step 3: In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar with electric mixer to form a grainy paste.

  • Step 4: Add eggnog, vanilla, and egg yolks and beat at mediums speed.

  • Step 5: Add flour mixture, beat at low speed until combined, but don't over mix.

  • Step 6: Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Sprinkle lightly with reserve nutmeg.

  • Step 7: Bake for 18-23 minutes, or until cookie bottoms turn light brown. Transfer to a cool, flat surface.
