Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 4 to 5 pound whole chicken (rinsed and patted dry)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In a bowl or cup whisk together the first 4 ingredients (-turmeric) and season with salt and pepper. Transfer 1/4 cup of mixture to small bowl and set aside.

  • Step 3: Place chicken on rack in roasting pan and brush with some of the remaining honey butter mixture; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast until temperature is 165 degrees F, brushing occasionally (about 70 minutes), brushing occasionally. Transfer to a platter and serve with reserved honey butter.
