Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 kilogram chicken drumsticks (8 drumsticks)
  • 200 grams mushrooms, sliced
  • Beef stroganoff (2 x 175 gram sachets beef stroganoff recipe base Masterfoods brand specified)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup roasted red capsicum strips, drained
  • 450 grams rice ( packets long-grain white rice microwavable)
  • 1/2 cup parsley, chopped to garnish

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in a large, deep frying pan over a high heat and add chicken drumsticks and cook, turning for about 5 minutes or until browned and transfer to a plate.

  • Step 2: Add mushrooms to the same pan and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 2 minutes, or until beginning to soften and then add recipe bases and water and stir to combine.

  • Step 3: Return chicken to the pan and gently boil, covered, for about 25 minutes or until chicken is tender, turn chicken and simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.

  • Step 4: Remove pan from the heat and stir in cream and capsicum strips.

  • Step 5: Meanwhile, heat rice according to packet direction and serve chicken with rice and garnish with parsley.
