Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 85 grams dried peel (mixed)
  • 150 grams dried apricots
  • 80 grams currants
  • 150 grams dried cranberries
  • 190 grams dried figs (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 packet (375 gram) raisins, chopped
  • 2 apples, whole (Granny Smith apples, peeled and coarsely grated)
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar (330 grams)
  • 2 teaspoons mixed spice
  • 375 liqueur (1 1/2 cups, Frangelico suggested, or orange juice)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the mixed peel, apricot, currants, cranberries, fig, sultanas, raisin, apple sugar, mixed spice and liqueur or orange juice in a large bowl and cover and store in a cool, dark place for at least 1 week, stirring every 2 days, to develop the flavours.

  • Step 2: Spoon into sterilised jars and seal and store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
