  • 4 1/2 ounces chopped walnuts (1 cup, coarsley chopped)
  • 1 unbaked (9 inch) pie pastry
  • French Vanilla ice cream (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl, beat the eggs until foamy.

  • Step 3: Mix in flour, sugar, and brown sugar until well blended.

  • Step 4: Blend in melted butter or margarine.

  • Step 5: Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour filling into pie shell.

  • Step 6: Bake for 1 hour 20 minutes, then remove from oven, and cool for 30 minutes before cutting. (Make sure you start checking after 1 hour, as all ovens are different and some may not take quite as long).
