The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 large egg (the fresher the better)
  • Boiling water

How to Make

  • Step 1: Poaching eggs is easy when you know how.

  • Step 2: Boil a saucepan of water and reduce heat to medium-low and add vinegar (this will help the egg hold together and then crack egg into a jug and stir water to make a whirlpool and from just above the water, gently pour egg into centre of the whirlpool and cook for 4 minutes for a soft yolk.

  • Step 3: Use a slotted spoon to transfer the poached egg to a crusty piece of bread (this absorbs any water from the egg.

  • Step 4: Discard bread and serve egg with your favourite sides eg toasted bread, avocado and bacon to name a few.
