Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 750 grams fresh shrimp ( banana prawns, peeled leaving tails intact, personally I prefer tails removed and deveined)
  • Chinese broccoli (1 bunch, stems and leaves separated, and coarsely chopped)
  • 2 spring onions (cut into 5cm lengths)
  • 80 grams bean sprouts (1 cup)
  • 90 grams Hoisin sauce (2 x 45g Five Tastes Chinese Hoisin and Garlic Fry Shots specified)
  • 1 packet (450 grams) jasmine rice (Microwave Jasmine Rice, SunRice brand specified)
  • Coriander leaves, to serve
  • Lime wedges, to serve
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan over high heat and add half the prawns and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until prawns curl and change colour and transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining prawns.

  • Step 2: Add Chinese broccoli stems to the wok or pan and stir-fry for 3 minutes or until softened and then return prawns to the wok or pan with Chinese broccoli leaves, spring onion, bean sprout and stir-fry shots and stir-fry for 2 minutes or until the leaves wilt and the mixture is heated through.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile, heat the rice following packet directions.

  • Step 4: Serve the stir-fry with the rice, coriander and lime wedges.
