Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons cumin, ground
  • Kosher salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 (6 ounces) bread buns (hamburger buns, toasted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set the beef on the sheet using 2 forks to spread the meat. In a bowl combine the spices and 1 1/4 teaspoons alt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper and sprinkle mixture over the beef. Freeze for 20 minutes.

  • Step 2: Using a rubber spatula fold the spice mixture into the beef and then divide beef mixture into 4 patties about 1/2 inch thick.

  • Step 3: Prepare grill for direct heat. Then clean and oil the grate.

  • Step 4: Grill burgers until well charred on the first side (3-5 minutes), flip and cook until chared on the second side (5 minutes). Transfer to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes before serving on the hamburger buns with your choice of condiments.
