Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • FOR BISCUITS
  • 270 grams Bisquick Baking Mix (2 1/4 cup)
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • FOR FILLING*
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup minced yellow onion
  • 1/4 cup minced celery
  • 2 tablespoons minced green bell pepper
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Meat extract (or au jus powder, 1 tablespoon)
  • 1/2 cup water, hot
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • FOR MUSHROOM SAUCE
  • 1 can (10 ounce) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

How to Make

  • Step 1: Make biscuit dough. Refrigerate.

  • Step 2: Sauté vegetables in butter.

  • Step 3: Add meat and meat extract in hot water.

  • Step 4: Add flour, mix til no lumps.

  • Step 5: Add to cooked meat, stirring well to prevent lumps. Cool.

  • Step 6: Roll dough out into rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.

  • Step 7: Spread filling on dough and roll up. Cut into 1 inch slices.

  • Step 8: Bake at 425 for 15 minutes on greased cookie sheet.

  • Step 9: To make sauce, mix all ingredients in sauce pan, heat thoroughly.

  • Step 10: Pour over hot rolls.
