Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 90 grams rolled oats (1 cup)
  • 1 banana, mashed (medium ripe)
  • 330 ml milk (1 1/3 cups)
  • 10 grams flax seeds (optional, 1 tablespoon)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 banana, sliced (small banana, extra thickly sliced lengthways)
  • TO SERVE
  • Ruby Red grapefruit segments
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Walnuts, chopped
  • Honey, extra

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the oats, mashed banana, yoghurt, milk, flaxseeds, if using, vanilla and 1 tablespoon of the honey in a medium bowl and cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge overnight to soak.

  • Step 2: Preheat grill/broiler on high and place sliced banana cut side up, on a greased baking tray and drizzle with the remaining honey and cook under the grill/broiler for 5 minutes or until caramelised.

  • Step 3: Divide the oat mixture among serving bowls and decorate with the grapefruit, grilled/broiled banana, strawberry, walnuts and extra honey.
