Step 1: Soak beans overnight with enough water to cover beans.
Step 2: In the morning drain beans.
Step 3: In a large stock pot, sauté the onions in lard.
Step 4: Add water then add the rest of the ingredients .
Step 5: Simmer on low, stirring occasionally, may need to add more water.
Step 6: Cook until creamy and thick.
