  • 1 pound pork butt (cut in 2 inch cubes)
  • 3 pound whole chicken
  • 1 pound stewing beef (beef stew meat0
  • 6 cups water
  • 4 cups chopped yellow onion
  • 3 1/2 pounds potatoes (5 large potatoes, peeled, chopped)
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 cans (40 ounces) diced tomatoes (2x20 ounce cans)
  • 2 cans (30 ounces) lima beans (butter beans, 2x15 ounce cans)
  • 2 cans (30 ounces) creamed corn (2x15 ounce cans)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large pot put meat and water. Cook for 1 hour

  • Step 2: Take meat out debone and chop fine

  • Step 3: Add back to stock add everything but butter beans and corn

  • Step 4: Simmer 2 hours, at very last 15 minutes add corn and beans

  • Step 5: May need to add more water but should be thick

  • Step 6: Adjust seasoning to taste
