  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • FOR FILLING
  • 1/2 pound shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 150 grams ham (chopped, 1 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sift the dry ingredients twice, cut butter in with pastry cutter or fork.

  • Step 2: Gradually add milk while stirring until soft dough forms.

  • Step 3: Roll dough out on floured surface until about 1/2 inch thick.

  • Step 4: Mix the filling ingredients together and spread over dough.

  • Step 5: Roll dough up like a jelly roll, then slice into 1/2 inch slices.

  • Step 6: Place flat on a baking sheet about 1/2 inch apart.

  • Step 7: Bake for 15 - 20 minutes at 375 or until top are golden, and biscuits are thoroughly cooked through.
