  • 1 box ( 20 ounce) brownie mix
  • 10 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 large egg whites
  • FOR LATER
  • 1 ounce mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 300 degrees (convection if possible) and line a half-sheet with parchment.

  • Step 2: Melt butter, stir into brownie mix along with egg whites.

  • Step 3: Turn mixture out onto parchment, spread evenly to edges of parchment.

  • Step 4: Sprinkle chocolate chips and press in with your hands.

  • Step 5: Bake until done, 25 minutes or so. If not using convection, turn half way through baking time.

  • Step 6: Score brownies with a pizza slicer immediately after removing from oven.

  • Step 7: Let oven cool for 15 minutes, then put brownies back in oven with door closed until they are completely dry, about 15-20 minutes.

  • Step 8: Let brownies cool completely, then break along scored lines.
