Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 teaspoon butter, softened (they specified a little butter)
  • 60 grams sliced white bread (good white bread, 2 thick slices)
  • 1 tablespoon fig jam
  • 2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 4 slices (80 grams) brie cheese (or camembert cheese)
  • 30 grams ham (1 thick slice)
  • Salad leaves, to serve (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat a toastie/jaffle maker or a small chargrill pan.

  • Step 2: Butter each slice of bread or one side, then spread the other side of one slice with fig jam, and one with mustard and then top the fig jam with brie and ham and sandwich with the remaining bread, butter side up and place in the toastie/jaffle maker or chargrill pan.

  • Step 3: If cooking in a pan, squash down a little with the back of a fish slice while cooking and then flip after 2 to 3 minutes when golden, then cook on the other side and serve with a handful of salad leaves, if you like.
