Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium tamari
  • 1 tablespoon ginger root (peeled, grated)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (toasted)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken wings (split, wing tips removed)
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (white, toasted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, ginger, sesame oil, lime zest and juice, and 2 tablespoons water.

  • Step 2: Place the chicken wings in a resealable plastic bag, pour in the marinade and seal the bag.

  • Step 3: Toss the wings in the marinade and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

  • Step 4: Preheat the oven to 425F.

  • Step 5: Line a rimmed baking tray with aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray and pour the chicken and its marinade onto the baking tray, bake until wings are cooked through, flipping midway, about 25 minutes

  • Step 6: Preheat the grill/broiler and grill/broil the wings until golden brown and glazed, about 3 to 5 minutes and serve sprinkled with the sesame seeds.
