  • 1 cabbage head (shredded)
  • 1 yellow onion (minced)
  • 2 apples (minced)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt, dash
  • Pepper, dash

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the apples and onions in deep skillet. Fry in the 4 tablespoons butter for 10 minutes.

  • Step 2: Add cabbage and water a little at a time to keep it steaming.

  • Step 3: Cool for 20 minutes.

  • Step 4: When tender, add butter, seasoning, sugar and vinegar.

  • Step 5: Cool a few minutes more.
